French Pink Clay (which is the good stuff that we use ;)) is a combination of red and white clays with a unique composition that includes kaolinite, iron, illite, montmorillonite, and calcite. It is a very gentle clay that is perfect for all the skin types including sensitive, normal, and mature. It's properties include that it very gently draws out buildup and dirt, and absorbs excess oil.
Pink clay gets it pink hue based on the amount of iron oxide present. The deeper the hue, the higher the percentage of iron oxide and the more absorbent. Our pink clay falls in the middle and and provides deep pore and skin cleansing without drying it out.
